PREFACE
National Human Rights Institutions play important roles in assisting their governments to engage with the international human rights system by providing advice on ratification of human rights treaties, as well as providing technical support in the preparation of State Party Reports.
The National Human Rights Commission of Nigeria, in line with its mandate to assist government to live up to its international human rights obligations, has over the years, participated actively in the preparation of Nigeria’s State Party Reports to the major regional and international human rights treaties.
