FOREWORD
The State of Human Rights Situation in Nigeria is produced in conformity with the provisions
of Section 6(c) of the National Human Rights Commission (Amendment) Act 2010 (“the Act”) which obligates the Commission to publish and submit from time to time, to the President, National Assembly, Judiciary, States and Local Governments reports on the state of human rights promotion and protection in Nigeria
The 2021 Human Rights Situation Assessment in Nigeria, offers the platform to assess the pattern and nature of complaints received by the Commission in the headquarters and state offices in the year under review.
